Not Home. Not Work. Something Better.
In today’s world, places to simply be are disappearing. Outside of home and work, there are fewer spaces where people can slow down, connect, and feel part of something.
Sociologist Ray Oldenburg called these environments “third places” — everyday spaces like cafés, parks, and bookstores where community happens naturally.
Kavanah Space is a modern take on that idea.
Created by the Chabad Loft of Greenwich Village, it’s a Jewish café and lounge open throughout the week — a place where anyone can stop in, work, meet a friend, or just hang out for a while.
Enjoy coffee and espresso, matcha and fresh juices, along with pastries and muffins — all in a space surrounded by art and a curated Judaica library.
With conversation, creativity, and a welcoming atmosphere, Kavanah offers something simple but rare: a beautiful place to connect, recharge, and feel at home.
