Not Home. Not Work. Something Better.
Sociologist Ray Oldenburg called them “third places” — everyday spaces like cafés, parks, and bookstores where community happens naturally.
Kavanah Cafe & Art Lounge is a Jewish NYC take on that idea.
Created by Chabad Loft of Greenwich Village, The Kavanah Space is a café and lounge open throughout the week — a place to stop in, work, meet, or simply be.
Enjoy barista-crafted coffee and espresso, matcha, fresh juices, and tea, alongside croissants, bourekas, and pastries — all within a thoughtfully designed space surrounded by art and a curated Judaica library.
With conversation, creativity, and a warm, welcoming energy, Kavanah offers something simple but rare:
a beautiful place to connect, recharge, and feel at home.
And of course, a welcoming Chabad Rabbi is always around for conversation, guidance, or just an inspiring connection.
Join us this Sunday for a Soft Opening Brunch at the newly reimagined Kavanah Cafe & Art Lounge. May 3 | 11AM–1PM
